Western Red Cedar Shingles are a truly renewable and sustainable roofing and cladding material, with one of the lowest carbon footprints of any widely used building product.
For roofing projects that require a high-quality finish, we recommend using Red label Shingles, which may include some small, tight knots.
They are light to transport yet durable and offer a high degree of thermal insulation.
Lightweight, aesthetically pleasing and practical, they will adopt a pleasant silvery grey shade over time.
Western Red Cedar is naturally insect & rot resistant. This product has also had an added preservative applied, which will help to provide extra protection.
Before making a purchase, kindly refer to our Fitting Instructions for guidance on the number of packs required to match the pitch of your roof, for more information about how shingles are graded please see our data sheet section.
Red Label is the second-highest shingle classification, suitable for general application. It allows for flat grain and limited sapwood.
We recommend: Roughly 1kg of nails will be required for every six bundles of Western Red Cedar Shingles.
